New special-series: Sewer Sealing Cushions with 2 bar working-pressure!
We are now producing our well-proven Sewer Sealing Cushions with a working-pressure of 1 bar, appropriate for a maximum back-pressure of 0,5 bar (5m watercoloumn) for more than 30 years!
In 99% of all applications in pressureless sewage systems, this back-pressure is more than enough!
But sometimes in the past we were asked, if it should be possible to construct a cushion with all the marvellous advantages of our devices for higher back-pressure.
From a physical point of view it should be no problem for our normal Sewer Sealing Cushions with 1 bar working-pressure to resist a back-pressure of about 1 bar. Everybody who is involved in the technique of our special cushions instead of all comparable balloon-plugs (no expansion, the cushion will always be pressed on the surface of the pipe!), should know, that the cushions hold the same back-pressure as its working-pressure.
But so we would lost the safety-factor, but our company for more than 60 years stands for 100% safety! That is the reason, why we developed cushions with 2 bar working-pressure, to get the safety-factor back!
We started with the development in 2004 and now, we are very happy that we are now able to offer our customers this new special-series!
To guaranty our customers a high level of safety we also certificate this special series with the GS-Sign (proven safety, a special certificate allocated by the professional association).
The acceptance for this certification took place in July 2008 on our research- and development-test-station.
During the certification we could prove, once more, which unbelievable forces our Sewer Sealing Cushions can resist!
During a special experiment we reduced the working-pressure inside the cushion to 0,5 bar (a quarter of the normal working-pressure!) and we hold a watercoloumn of 15m (1,5 times over the maximum allowed back-pressure)!
This test proved once more: Our cushions are self-fixing in the pipe! Nobody has to build a special fix-construction if he works as described in our operating-instruction!
But attention: Such extreme tests should only be done by us! Nobody else should do something like that!
The normal limits of our cushions should never been exceeded:
